I wrote Joel a huge email ~back in the day~ on Christmas Eve and I woke up the next day to a HUGE reply. I almost wet myself and I cried forever because it was just fantastic. And then their second album came out and the text of his email to me was the entirety of “Hold On” and I shit so many brix.
I still do when I think about it. This band was incredible, those first two records were so fun.
