Sherlock: Frankly, I find it insulting that you’re here.
Spencer: Look, I’m sorry, but they’re not going to let you work with the FBI until you’ve had at least a little training.
Sherlock: Training? I don’t need training. And definitely not from someone as young as you. I’ve seen things that would make your skin crawl.
Spencer: Mr Holmes, you’re making this more difficult than it actually is -
Sherlock: The FBI needs me, desperately, otherwise they wouldn’t go through all this trouble to get me to work for them. They obviously employ people of little intellect, if they need expertise from overseas.
Spencer: I’m the one who needs you, Mr Holmes. I need someone else like me on the team.
Sherlock: Someone else like you?
Spencer: Yes. A - a genius.
Sherlock: I see.
———
John: Is he always like this?
Derek: Is yours?
John: Point.
Derek: Brilliant minds and the men who love them, right?
John: Oh, no - I’m not, Sherlock and I aren’t - we aren’t -
Derek: Keep telling yourself that, man.
